Parents Who Don't Watch Their Kids?

What's the deal with parents not watching their kids? I take my little boy to the park everyday and I watch him like a hawk. Some parents do not watch their kids, they are too busy chatting up with other parents, they are oblivious that their kids might get hurt or being kidnapped. Almost everyday I seen toddlers and little kids being hit by swings because their parents are not watching, and on some occassions, I seen kids fall of the slides.
When I also go to the library with my son, I seen other parents leave their toddlers/young children in the children's play area for about 5-10 minutes alone while they go do other stuff. The parents think because I'm there, they feel it's safe to leave their children alone? I could've kidnapped their children.
One time, I wrote on post it note when a child was left by themselves and stuck it on their clothes, I said "Please watch me. I could have gotten hurt or injured because you weren't watching me."
Who's with me?

I don't get it either. What blows my mind is when I go to pick up my 1st grader from school. The school yard is loaded with kids and parents, its like a zoo. I have to bring my two preschoolers with me, and I make them stand with me and I hold their hands the whole time we're waiting for my son to get out of school. I feel like all the other mothers let their preschooler and toddlers run off and they're not watching, too busy talking with other mothers. Its so not safe. The school is not fenced in, backs up to woods, and there are cars driving around.

I unfortuneately had to learn the hard way. I was merely playing in my backyard with my two sons that were 3 and 18 months old at the time. My 3 year old fell, and I turned my back for a second to help him and my 18 month old took off and i couldn't find him. I had to call the police, who thankfully found him a couple of streets over unharmed.

It only takes a second to alter your life and your child's life forever. Watch your kids!!!!
