Baby Can Read Cards DIY "my baby can read" flap books?
i was given the dvd set, but not the flap books or sliding cards, what words are in each book, just the words covered in each dvd? i plan on making them for my daughter
yes make them, i can't find the books seperate, and why spend money when i can make them!
Karleigh's mom, i just got it yesterday, but i'm excited. do you know anyone who also wants it, you could always just have them record their dvd's onto vhs, and then split the cards and things, making duplicates for the other person, that way you wouldn't have to pay as much if 2 people went in for it
I've been thinking of getting this system. Do you like it?
EDIT: I watch 3 other babies in my home during the day and it would be a tax write off for me. But it is expensive. I wonder if the babies moms would go in on it if I copied the info for them...I have looked on Craigslist and ebay but can't really find it cheaper. Good idea though!

According to Your Baby Can Read! founder Dr. Robert Titzer, the current practice of starting to teach reading in school is too late. When children develop reading skills during their natural window of opportunity, from about birth to age four, they read better and are more likely to enjoy it.
n fact, studies prove that the earlier a child learns to read, the better they perform in school and later in life. Early readers have more self-esteem and are more likely to stay in school. Meanwhile, a national panel of reading specialists and educators determined that most of the nation's reading problems could be eliminated if children began reading earlier.
